Mysterious, secretive rulers of the Ascended Empire, the Originals are energy-based lifeforms that began in the Alfleheym dimension rather than transitioning from corporeal lifeforms in Migar(our dimension). All of the 'ascended' beings serve them, though to what extent remains unclear.
According to Lyran, most ascended beings have never encountered an Original. They know only what little escapes the Empire's lockdown on information sharing.
Three bits of information are known about them, however.
- They are older than ascended beings.
- They are more powerful.
- They are not in Avalona, Pegasus or any of the Ancients' former galaxies.
